About

About-1-1

Are you asking questions like:

  • Am I living my best life?
  • How do I fit into my world?
  • How do I allow myself to be treated?
  • How genuine are my relationships?
  • How do I start to make change?

They are tough questions, right?
AND, they are also important ones that we will explore during our sessions.

Once you start to unpack your stuff and explore these questions, you may feel emotions that you have been trying hard to ignore. I will offer you a safe space so that you can explore your life.

Hi, I’m Debbie,

Counsellor – Wife – Mother – Yogi – Meditator – Life Long Learner – Spiritual Being

Prior to my counselling qualification, I worked in the NHS as a health professional and I believe that career helped build a firm foundation towards my growth as a counsellor.

I am a registered member of the National Counselling and Society (NCS) and I work within their ethical guidelines and framework.

They say life begins at 40 and for me I embarked on a journey of self-discovery around that time. As well as being a parent, I have tried different activities such as mountain biking, indoor climbing and volunteering, I have also taken up activities I previously enjoyed before I had my children, such as yoga and mindfulness.

Why am I telling you this?

I feel that telling you about me gives you a flavour of what kind of person I am. I tried all those different activities BECAUSE I felt so empowered by my counselling sessions … that’s what they can do.

Simply put; therapy can be life changing.

Debbie
